carlacrafts Design Selected for Restaurant Display
July 4, 2010
Carla’s proposal for an autumn foliage design for the menu box for the West Village, NYC, Italian restaurant Dell’anima was selected from a call for artists posted on the New York Foundation for the Arts website in the summer of 2009. The display was installed in the fall, and created such a desirable response that Carla was asked to create seasonal displays for the restaurant on an ongoing basis. Pictured above are both the original proposed autumn themed design, and the second installation of Tuscan inspired, individual, hand-stenciled and painted tiles, in a warm, sunny palette.
Visit the display and have a glass of vino and some pasta at Dell’anima: http://dellanima.com/index.html
